Leslie Feinberg's 'Stone Butch Blues' is one of the most touching books I've ever read. Feinberg writes from within and as a part of the Trans and gender non-comforming community which is integral to the triumph of this story. 'Stone Butch Blues' brings to life the subtly, conflict, and beauty caused by the intersection of working class politics, the LGBTQ community, and the universal experiences of love and loss. It is the kind of story that is often actually lived but rarely discussed in mainstream news and media. - Jarrett Dougherty

Leslie Feinberg's Stone Butch Blues provided me with an account of queer history that existed outside of the realm of punk, which wasn't something I was so well-versed in at the time. It is certainly one of the saddest books I've ever read, but it left me feeling emboldened to further embrace my identity as a queer. - Marissa Paternoster
